ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Plan and facilitate STEM and arts-integrated lessons that align with Massachusetts State Standards and promote 21st-century skills, including creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
• Design hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that incorporate science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts to deepen student engagement and understanding.
• Manage classroom behavior using Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS) that motivate students and create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
• Implement inclusive practices and Sheltered English Instruction (SEI) strategies to support students with IEPs and multilingual learners.
• Use student data to inform instruction and tailor learning experiences to meet the academic and linguistic needs of all learners.
• Provide structured exploration and hands-on activities, ensuring students engage in safe and appropriate STEM-related projects, models, and experiments aligned with standards.
• Communicate regularly with families using culturally responsive strategies that foster strong, two-way communication and family engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Massachusetts Teaching Licensure in Elementary Education (1-6)
• Preference for candidates with Science and Math background
• Sheltered English Instruction (SEI) Endorsement required
• Experience or strong interest in interdisciplinary teaching that combines science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts
