Natural Resources Foreman

The Town of Eastham Department of Natural Resources seeks well qualified candidates for the full-time 40 hour per week position of Working Foreman/Shellfish Constable. This position assists in the planning, organizing, coordination and directing of all field and administrative activities of the Department of Natural Resources. Duties may include management and direction of activities related to harvest of shellfish (aquaculture, commercial, and recreational), waterways, harbors, landings, vessel storage, care and control of domestic animals and sometimes wildlife, emergency response, and other Natural Resources related functions. Employee is required to perform all similar or related duties under the Department of Public Works.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position ranges from $63,036.72 to $79,866 annually. Qualifications:
The recommended qualifications are: Bachelor's Degree preferred in natural resources, conservation, environmental management, or a related field; four (4) years of experience in natural resources management, law enforcement or conservation operations and management; three to five- (3-5) years of experience in animal care and control; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's essential functions.
Special Requirements:
Massachusetts Animal Fund Animal Control Institute's Core Competencies Training certificate required or must be able to successfully obtain when training next offered.
