Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI)
WHOI are offering a paid internship opportunity for Cape Cod Community College students at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Woods Hole, MA, January-May, 2026. The program consists of a short course on “Blue Economy” topics and an internship placement in a WHOI lab. No previous experience is required – just interest and a desire to learn more!
The 2-week short course will be held in January and will include lectures and daily hands-on activities and tours. Course dates are Tues-Fri, Jan 6-9 and Jan 13-16, 2026 (9:30am-11:30am). The course will present Blue Economy topics including ocean aquaculture, engineering and sensors, offshore wind energy, fisheries, and marine pollution such as oil and plastics. The course requires about 20 hours on-site.
