STEM UNIT: Climate! It’s All in the Data

Climate Stem Unit E9F92De3A868Cf59A209B712407B7171

This unit for biology students in grades 2-4 was developed by Michael Irving through his 2020 Teacher-in-Residence with Woods Hole Sea Grant.

This unit is designed to have the students explore the different climate regions of the world. The students will examine the characteristics of the regions, and will learn the difference between climate and weather. They will also learn how weather and climate data can be analyzed to help predict future conditions. The students will determine the causes and effects of a natural disaster. They will learn what they can do to prepare for natural disasters.
