Paid internship in the Roberson Lab at the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) offered through our Blue Economy Internship Program (BEIP)
The intern will test the impact of temperature, light, and nutrients on growth and survivorship of seedstock for offshore seaweed farming. Monitor growth rates of tropical red seaweeds in the lab. Take measurements of photosynthesis. Prepare samples for chemical analysis. Manage data and preparation of graphs and figures. Requirements: Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Prefer someone interested in the Blue Economy or sustainability. Minimum of three hours per week for four weeks but can be flexible.
