Machinist Trainee

Precision manufacturing business looking for CNC machinists with milling experience. This opportunity is for machinists who likes a challenge, thrives in a fast paced environment and want to learn new approaches. We are lean, ISO-9001 certified and work highly collaboratively. Primary Responsibilities: (will provide training as needed)

1.Read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.

2.Set up and operate CNC mills such as Kitamura and Robodrill.

3.Verify and/or write CNC programs, work with foreman to confirm operational quality.

4.Dimensional inspection of first piece and checks quality and consistency throughout operations

5.Solve production problems, handle quality issues and communicate proactively to foreman on issues.

6.Suggest machining time for new assemblies, and recommend tooling supplies and replacement parts as needed.

7.Help promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety within the organization.

8.Reduce set up and machining times through process improvements.

9.Arrive on time, be diligent in work, work overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
